Students will need to be familiar with opening the Locked Down Browser before test days. If you have previously installed this browser, installing the latest version will automatically upgrade your version.
All 4 of the below steps MUST be completed. The estimated time for the download, install and test is only 5-10 minutes.

Download the lockdown browser to your device

Windows installation process
Step 1 (WINDOWS INSTALLATION PROCESS)
Once the software has completed downloading, open the software to start the installation
Step 2 (WINDOWS INSTALLATION PROCESS)
A Windows prompt will show up asking if you wish to run this installation. Select 'RUN'
Step 3 (WINDOWS INSTALLATION PROCESS)
Read the terms and conditions
Tick the section that says 'I accept the terms in the Licence Agreement'
Select 'Install'
Step 4 (WINDOWS INSTALLATION PROCESS)
The installation promise will take a couple of minutes to complete, Once completed you will be presented with the screen below.
Select 'Finish' to finalise the installation of the lockdown browser.
Step 3
Once the browser is installed, open the browser.
Windows: Double click NAPLAN icon on your desktop
MAC: NAPLAN lockdown browser needs to be started from the 'Applications' folder icon. Search 'NAP' and double click on the NAP Locked Down Browser option in the application window.
Step 4
Your screen will go dark for a period of time, a small window will appear in the centre of your computer. Wait until another prompt appears that notifies you that any other programs that are open will be closed.
Select 'OK' to close any open programs.
Step 5
When the NAPLAN menu opens up, select 'Device check (without login)' at the bottom of the menu
Step 6
Test to ensure that your headphones can hear the sound when selecting the play button on the left.
Ensure that you can see the image on the right.
Press back when completed.
