How to create a Gmail Account

Step 1: Open the link accounts.google.com/SignUp 

Step 2: Enter your details into the sign up page (See below for example). 

When creating a gmail account, make sure to use your real name, and the gmail address is appropriate.

Ensure your password has a mixture of lower case letters, upper case letters, numbers and symbols (^!$#%) to ensure your password is secure.

Step 3: Once you have entered all of your details, select the ‘Next’ button at the bottom of the page. 

Step 4: On next page, Date of Birth and Gender are the only required fields of information. You can enter your mobile number and an alternative email address just in case you lose access to this email later on, This is optional and is not a requirement. If you have entered your mobile and/or email you may need to verify it. 

Once you have entered all of your details, select the ‘Next’ button at the bottom of the page. 

Step 5: The next page will contain Google’s privacy and terms of service. Ensure to read the privacy and terms, once read scroll down and click the button ‘I agree’

Step 6: On the next page you should be greeted with your Gmail account (see picture below for reference). You can access your gmail now by using the link gmail.com.
